60% Bronze Filled

The inclusion of BRONZE particles greatly improves the mechanical strength of the material without affecting its thermal properties and is useful in applications that undergo high mechanical loads where the bronze filler supplies the strength and conductivity to carry away excess, unwanted heat.

Tensile strength is improved, while creep and elongation reduce compared to virgin grade.

Other improvements include a lower coefficient of thermal expansion and greater Pressure-Velocity limits. Electrical properties significantly change from insulator to partial conductor, while thermal conductivity increases. By comparison with virgin grade, bronze filled grade can be characterised by the following properties:

• 125% increase in tensile strength
• 66% lower elongation
• 70% lower creep
• 10 times better Pressure - Velocity limit
• 22% lower thermal expansion
• 60% higher thermal conductivity
• Partial electrical conductor
• Poor chemical resistance
